Ayur-Veda -Adopted from Sanskrit, the word Ayur Veda literally means the Science of Life. An ancient medical science with roots to Indian subcontinent, Ayurveda is based on the three principal early texts namely Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita and Bhela Samhita. Fighting of illness through diet control, herbal medicines, therapies and massages happens to be the essence of Ayurvedic Treatment.
According to Ayurveda the body substances are divided into five elements - called the panchabhuta - earth, water, fire, air and ether. There are three elemental substances too… Vata, Pitta and Kapha collectively known as Doshas, which when in balance results in health, while imbalance results in disease.
